स्व श्री रोशन लाल गुप्त “करूणेश” एक महान कवि, लेखक, पत्रकार व स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी थे, जिन्होंने अपनी कलम को हथियार बना कर अंग्रेज़ी सरकार को हिला कर रख दिया था।

उत्तराखंड की राज्यपाल बेबी रानी मौर्य ने कहा है कि स्वाधीनता संग्राम सेनानियों की स्मृति को नमन कर के ही आज की युवा पीढ़ी को नई सोच, नया विचार मिल सकता है। बेबी रानी मौर्य रविवार को आगरा में स्वाधीनता संग्राम सेनानी स्व रोशनलाल गुप्त “करुणेश: के फेसबुक लाइव पेज पर “करुणेश परिवार” द्वारा प्रारंभ किये जा रहे “विस्मृत सेनानियों की याद”  कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन करते हुए पटल पर उपस्थित जनमानस को ऑनलाइन वीडियो के माध्यम से संबोधित कर रहीं थी।उन्होंने कहा कि स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानियों ने राष्ट्र की आजादी के लिए जो संघर्ष किया उससे युवा पीढ़ी को बहुत कुछ सीखना चाहिए और प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए। इससे उनको राष्ट्र के प्रति सम्मान का बोध होगा और साहस का संचार होगा जिसकी आज उनको बहुत आवश्यकता है। राज्यपाल ने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम व उसके उपरांत राष्ट्र व समाज को स्व रोशनलाल गुप्त करुणेश के योगदान व उनके जीवन संघर्ष का विस्तार से वर्णन किया। मेयर बनने के उपरांत 1996 में करुणेश से अपनी भेंट और उसके बाद उनके साथ कई मुलाकातों का जिक्र करते हुए राज्यपाल ने कहा कि उनसे मुझे बहुत प्रेरणा मिली और उनसे प्रेरित होकर मैंने समाज के लिए अनेक कार्य किए, महिलाओं के लिए, गरीबों के लिए अनेक कार्य किए। वह मेरे सच्चे प्रेरणास्रोत थे।प्रारंभ में राज्यपाल ने करुणेश के चित्र पर माल्यार्पण करके उनको श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किए। रोशनलाल गुप्त करुणेश परिवार ने विस्मृत सेनानियों व शहीदों को याद करने के लिए अभियान शुरू किया है। इस के अंतर्गत करुणेश जी के फेसबुक पेज पर प्रति रविवार को सायं 5:00 बजे देश के वरिष्ठ स्वाधीनता सेनानियों, कवियों, साहित्यकारों को पटल पर आमंत्रित कर केउनके विचारों का आदान प्रदान  किया जायेगा, ताकि युवा पीढ़ी और अन्य सभी को भी उनके बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त हो सके।

The Governor of Uttarakhand, Baby Rani Maurya has said that it is only by bowing to the memory of freedom fighters that today’s young generation can get new ideas, new ideas. This will give them a sense of respect for the nation and infuse of courage which is very much needed today. The Governor described in detail the contribution of Swara Roshanlal Gupta Karunesh and his life struggle to the nation and society thereafter. Referring to his meeting with Karunesh in 1996 after becoming mayor and several meetings with him thereafter, the Governor said that he inspired me a lot and inspired him to do many things for the society, many for the women, many for the poor Did the work. He was my true inspiration. Initially, the Governor garlanded Karunesh’s portrait and paid homage to him. The Roshanlal Gupta Karunesh family has started a campaign to remember the forgotten fighters and martyrs. Under this, on the Facebook page of Karunesh ji every Sunday at 5:00 pm, senior freedom fighters, poets, litterateurs of the country will be invited to the table and exchange their views, so that the younger generation and all others will also be informed about them.
